AIT Brand Showcase: The Vanguard of Customization Trends
The AIT Brand Showcase brought together some of the world’s top modification brands in what can only be described as an "All-Star Game" of the tuning world! Industry giants such as HKS, DIXCEL, RECARO, ENDLESS, HARDRACE, BORDER, YOFER, BARBARO, and Station No.1 shared the stage — drawing crowds of dedicated modification enthusiasts eager to experience the latest in performance and style.

China’s youngest licensed racing driver — “Little Sea Wave” Shao Ziyan — celebrated his birthday during the AIT Fan Carnival. This talented young racer, who wowed the crowd and gained countless new fans on site, received an outpouring of birthday wishes. Let’s all wish him a very Happy Birthday and thank him for the thrilling performance he delivered at this year’s AIT Fan Carnival!

Keiichi Tsuchiya Fan Meet Draws Massive Crowd
As the real-life inspiration for Takumi Fujiwara in Initial D, the appearance of “Drift King” Keiichi Tsuchiya sent Chengdu’s car scene into a frenzy! The moment this legendary drift icon stepped onto the stage, the venue erupted into a full-blown fan frenzy — a true superstar moment in the world of motorsport.

As the “Father of Drift,” Keiichi Tsuchiya is a true icon and role model for many professional D1 drivers. During the D1 Chengdu round, participating drivers took the opportunity to interact warmly with Tsuchiya between races, making for unforgettable moments both on and off the track.

Fans swarmed the venue holding all kinds of merchandise, eagerly seeking autographs and photos. The atmosphere was electric. Mr. Tsuchiya, ever humble and down-to-earth, patiently signed items and posed for photos with each and every fan — winning even more hearts with his genuine warmth.

Electric Motors Redefine the Rules of Drifting
As the tires of the Geely Ruilan 7 and NIO L60 carved the first arcs across the track, the roar of traditional combustion engines gave way to the high-pitched howl of electric motors — marking a paradigm shift with the world’s first new energy drift showcase. The Exeed Sterra ES delivered seamless pendulum drifts through precise torque control, while the Xiaomi SU7 executed textbook-perfect circular drifts with its lightning-fast electric drive response.

This historic first-ever new energy vehicle drift showcase, featuring multiple electric models, allowed spectators to witness a tangible expression of “culture built upon industry” — as Chinese new energy technology reshapes the DNA of motorsport.
Zhang Shengjun Clinches Drift Grand Slam with Force
On the final day of the 2025 D1 Drift Grand Prix Chengdu round, Zhang Shengjun of the Zero Kilometer Lubricant ZM Drift Team won the second-round chase final, achieving a drift grand slam! Wang Qi from the Guansu Sports DRS Team took second place, while Xue Kun, also from the Zero Kilometer Lubricant ZM Drift Team, secured third.

Since its successful debut at last year’s AIT Dongguan Modification Expo, the innovative “exhibition-race integration” model has been further enhanced in Chengdu. This grand feast of modification culture perfectly showcased the thrilling collision between “static displays” and “dynamic competition.”

Spectators could get up close to admire thousands of custom-built masterpieces and trendy products, while also experiencing the dual thrill of tire smoke and roaring engines live at the D1 GP Drift Grand Prix.

The tire marks at Chengdu Maojiawan are gradually cooling, yet the celebration blending technological revolution and human warmth continues to resonate. From Keiichi Tsuchiya signing autographs on classic AE86 models for fans, to the stunning showcase of hundreds of highly modified cars; from Zhang Shengjun’s emotional triumph to children perched on their fathers’ shoulders playfully mimicking drifting — every moment tells the vibrant story of China’s thriving automotive culture.

AIT tells the most compelling stories of Chinese automotive culture through the language of hardcore machinery. Let’s meet again this October in Dongguan to continue this passionate celebration of car culture. Go and click AIT to get more information!
