At the meeting, the Embassy of Armenia in China provided authoritative on-site explanations of key local automotive industry policies, offering precise guidance for Chinese automakers expanding overseas.

On-Site at the Meeting
Tax-Free Quota Benefits: In 2025, Armenia’s tax-free quota for new energy vehicles will increase to 15,000 units, significantly reducing the cost of vehicle imports and offering broad growth potential for the NEV market.
Favorable Union Trade Policies: As a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, vehicles produced or assembled in Armenia can be exported to other member countries duty-free, providing strong market reach.
Comprehensive Local Support: The local government supports CKD/SKD assembly operations, allows long-term tax exemptions for parts and sample imports, and offers convenient logistics, creating favorable conditions for Chinese automakers to establish operations overseas.
The meeting adopted a targeted matchmaking approach, with a dedicated session for Lantu Auto on May 8 and BAIC International on May 11. Each Chinese automaker held in-depth discussions with three high-quality local Armenian auto companies, precisely matching supply and demand needs.
