2-Month Countdown: AIT Dongguan Tuning Show Unveils Four Major Upgrades

This year’s AIT Tuning Show (14th China International All in Tuning Exhibition) will be held from October 16 to 18 at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan. With two months to go before the show, the event is set to undergo several major upgrades.

1. Three Shows Running Together, Creating a Mega Lifestyle Carnival in the Greater Bay Area for 200,000+ Visitors

This year, the AIT Tuning Show is taking things to the next level, joining forces for the first time with the Lifestyle Carnival (namely the Famous Furniture Fair) and the Firefly Animation Festival to create a three-show event. Together, they will form a spectacular “Autumn Lifestyle Carnival in the Greater Bay Area” that is “bigger, more fun, and exciting day and night.”

This mega carnival is expected to bring more than 200,000 people to Dongguan, creating a vibrant celebration of trendy automotive modification, popular culture, and lifestyle experiences while driving new consumer activity across the Greater Bay Area.

2. D1 Automotive Drift Grand Prix Brings Multiple Major Upgrades

Held alongside AIT, the D1 Automotive Drift Grand Prix (official race) is a major motorsport IP that generates exposure of more than 1 billion throughout the event period. This year, the event will feature two major upgrades.

2.1. Venue Upgrade 

Last year, the D1 event in Dongguan was held on a tiled outdoor exhibition area, so asphalt was laid along the specially designed track layout for the race.

This year, the entire plaza has been uniformly paved with concrete. The track layout will be marked directly on the concrete surface, making the course more challenging and significantly enhancing the intensity and excitement of every race.

2.2. More Competition Categories

In addition to the D1GP professional competition this year, two brand-new categories will be added: the D1LT young driver competition (D1 LIGHTS) and a children's drifting demonstration.

3. AIT Star Car Avenue Expands from One Route to Three, Bringing a Major Upgrade

Last year, the AIT Dongguan Tuning Show introduced the industry’s first “Star Car Avenue,” creating a major sensation across the automotive modification community.

During the event, 18 celebrity-modified cars were showcased, featuring 212 cutting-edge technologies from around the world and the latest technologies available in China. The exhibition generated RMB 85 million in transactions during the show. More than 500 top-tier KOLs came to check in and share their experiences, while nearly 200,000 visitors gathered around the area and showed their support.

This year, AIT Star Car Avenue will expand to three dedicated zones: one for performance cars, one for off-road vehicles, and one for motorcycles.

From one to three, the excitement is multiplied, business opportunities are multiplied, and brand exposure is multiplied. Car enthusiasts, professional automotive players, and modification businesses will all find their own common ground and something they love.

4. Urban Off-Road Obstacle Race: A Dual Upgrade in Both Scale and Experience

Held alongside AIT, another major event with nearly 100 million views is the Urban Off-Road Obstacle Race. Every year, nearly 100 top off-road drivers and dozens of highly modified off-road vehicles battle it out on an extremely challenging course spanning thousands of square meters.

This year, the off-road race will be upgraded into an Off-Road Carnival, which will take place across challenging and varied terrain. The winning vehicles and teams that stand out from the carnival will earn direct entry to the “Off-Road Star Car Competition” at the AIT exhibition.

This year’s Urban Off-Road Obstacle Race is expected to set new records across multiple categories, while delivering several times more excitement and thrills for spectators.
