The D1 Grand Drift Championship, widely recognized as a top-tier event in global motorsports, has launched its first-ever D1 New Energy Drift Exhibition. This groundbreaking addition not only enriches the essence of the D1 Championship but also carries the mission of showcasing China’s cutting-edge NEV (New Energy Vehicle) technology, promoting deep integration across the industry chain, and leading the development of high-performance electric vehicles. It marks a bold step in China’s transition toward electrification and performance-oriented innovation.
The grand finale of the 2025 D1 Grand Drift Championship China Tour will take place from October 17 to 19 at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan.
For the first time, the Dongguan stop will feature a groundbreaking “Oil-Electric Dual Battle” format. New energy vehicles and traditional fuel-powered cars will compete under the same rules, setting the stage for a thrilling confrontation of power and control.
After the drift performances, an exclusive Technical Sharing Session will be held at the event’s media center. Automakers will conduct in-depth analyses of their vehicles’ dynamic performance and core drift technology, making every advantage visible and tangible.
The Dongguan course features new composite turns and widened lanes, pushing drivers to their limits in high-speed cornering and rapid directional changes. These intense challenges will showcase cutting-edge automotive performance while proving that production models—without extreme modifications—can achieve professional-level drifting. This technical appeal will drive strong brand resonance and consumer interest, fueling both performance adoption and motorsport culture.
For the first time, the D1 China Series will feature the YOUNG Category, judged by the same standards as the main competition.
Double-Round Competition: Official practice day plus two rounds of solo exhibition scoring.
Tiered Honors: Trophies for champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers in each round, with “D1 Drift Rising Star” medal recognition for completing drivers.
Age Requirement: 7 to 16 years old.
Vehicle Regulations: Compliant with the 2025 D1 Grand Drift Championship Vehicle Safety Regulations.
