October 17, Dongguan, China — The 2025 Dongguan AIT Auto Modification Expo officially opened today at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center. The three-day event will run until October 19. This year’s exhibition spans an impressive 120,000 square meters, gathering over 1,000 global brands and more than 1,000 customized show cars. On its opening day, the venue was already packed with visitors eager to experience this dynamic fusion of exhibition, competition, and automotive culture.
Among the many highlights of this year’s AIT, none shines brighter than the “Star Car Avenue,” located in the heart of the exhibition hall. Eighteen fan-voted star-modified cars made their dazzling debut here — from performance-driven speed machines to artistic, personality-infused custom builds. Accompanied by six top professional models, this area quickly became a hotspot for photo ops and social media buzz.
Another major attraction is the Asian Modified Car Championship zone, where top modification teams from northern and southern China converge in Dongguan for an epic showcase. Each vehicle on display reflects the craftsmanship and passion of its owner or club — featuring retro rims, custom paintwork, and unique design concepts — every car is a story worth admiring.
The Greater Bay Area Automotive Culture Festival and Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Special Exhibition Zone further elevated the event’s nostalgic appeal. From Simon’s Magic Garage’s 30th Anniversary “Initial D” Tribute Zone to classic Hong Kong movie cars making stunning appearances, these sections perfectly captured the evolution of car modification culture — evoking shared memories and emotional resonance among fans.
Beyond static displays, live competitions brought the excitement to another level. The D1 Grand Prix Drift Competition – Dongguan Final Stop, a world-class motorsport event, became one of the show’s biggest highlights. Renowned drivers including Masato Kawabata and “Liuliu Ge” shared the track with elite drifters from Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. The official D1 showdown begins tomorrow — expect pure “speed and passion” in every turn!
Equally thrilling was the China City Off-Road Challenge, a truly “hardcore” national-level race. Drivers from across the country tackled steep climbs and obstacles in their own rugged vehicles. Meanwhile, for audio enthusiasts, the EMMA Car Audio Challenge assembled over 100 premium sound-modified cars from South China. Judged by more than 20 international-level referees, it offered an ultimate “sound wave showdown” that delivered a high-decibel feast for the ears.
This year’s AIT boldly broke boundaries by introducing street breakdancing to the exhibition floor for the first time. Dancers performed among modified cars, creating a unique dialogue between human expression and mechanical aesthetics — two distinct forms of individuality colliding to spark new cultural energy.
Interactive zones like the Hardcore Sweetheart JDM Drift Arena, D1RC Model Car Drift Experience Area, and the Trunk Creative Market made the event a family-friendly festival. Visitors could also join stamp collection games, photography contests, and lucky draws, making participation fun and rewarding throughout the show.
For industry professionals, AIT remains a highly efficient one-stop sourcing and trend-setting platform. With over 1,000 participating brands covering the entire auto modification supply chain, it continues to empower exhibitors and buyers alike. Organizer Yasn International leveraged its 100,000+ private traffic network to deliver precise business matchmaking and exposure.
In addition, the Online Sales Masterclass launched today, and the upcoming CAAM 2025 Automotive Modification Industry High-Quality Development & Innovation Conference will bring experts together to address key industry challenges, share insights, and explore future opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The Dongguan AIT Modification Expo has successfully propelled China’s automotive modification culture from a niche passion into a mainstream movement. It has become not only a sacred ground for car lovers and a powerful engine for industry growth, but also a vibrant platform where culture, competition, and lifestyle intersect.
As the show continues for the next two days, even more excitement awaits. Come and experience the energy, creativity, and passion of China’s auto modification scene at AIT 2025 Dongguan — where every car tells a story and every roar of the engine celebrates individuality.
