As an official featured event of CINEVE 2026 – China's International New Energy Vehicle Technologies, Parts, and Services Exhibition, the Belgian Embassy– Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT-Beijing) will host a dedicated session titled “Flanders – An Ideal Gateway to Europe.”

“Flanders – An Ideal Gateway to Europe”The session aims to present Flanders as a strategic hub for Chinese NEV enterprises expanding into Europe and to foster deeper China–Belgium collaboration in new energy and sustainable mobility.

Belgium is strategically located at the heart of Western Europe, bordering Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and facing the UK across the North Sea, making it a key transportation and trade hub of the European continent.


Flanders, one of Belgium's three autonomous regions, is located in the north of the country, covering 13,522 km² with over 6 million inhabitants (around 58% of the national population). It is Belgium’s economic powerhouse and industrial center.

Mr. Koen De Ridder, Economic Representative, Flanders Investment & Trade, Embassy of Belgium, and Mr. Jan Van der Borght, Chief Representative, Port of Antwerp-Bruges,will engage directly with leading automakers, EV suppliers, and industry innovators.

  • Second, its robust auto logistics capabilities – relying on world-class ports like Antwerp-Bruges (4M annual vehicle turnover), Zeebrugge (a top European auto logistics hub) enables efficient NEV and component storage/transport via multimodal networks, supporting supply chain optimization.
