2026 NEV Maintenance & Repair Skills Competition Kicks Off in Beijing: 22 Institutions from 11 Provinces Compete on spot!

The 2026 China NEV Maintenance & Repair Training Institution Skills Competition will be held from March 13-16 at Hall A1 of the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing. Gathering 22 top NEV maintenance training institutions from 11 provinces across the country to compete on the same stage, the competition will feature three days of peak confrontations centered on three core dimensions: diagnosis of difficult new energy faults, time-limited troubleshooting of whole vehicle faults, and in-depth detection of power batteries, fully demonstrating the industry's top technical strength and comprehensive service capabilities.

1. Three Special Sessions in Three Days, Practical Highlights Every Day

Breaking the traditional single competition format, in this year, competition recreates real combat scenarios from the front line with exciting practical sessions in every round! Senior industry experts will provide real-time on-site commentary, explaining the competition as it unfolds with no dull moments throughout!

1.1 Time-limited Diagnosis of Whole Vehicle Faults Session: Competing in Speed, Precision, and Standards 

3 of the market's hottest models on the market - Tesla, BYD and Geely - will compete simultaneously, with each vehicle set with 5 fault points by the authoritative the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC). Each day focuses on a core challenge: 

• Motors (must-know repairs)

• Electronic controls (the toughest to fix)

• Batteries (the most profitable)

These scenarios replicate real-world complete vehicle faults, rigorously testing participants' practical skills!

1.2 In-depth Diagnosis of Power Batteries Session: Accuracy, Efficiency, and Technique 

"If you can't repair batteries, you can't call yourself a NEV repair shop!" Battery technology is the cornerstone of a repair shop's competitiveness. This session, with faults set by leading diagnostic equipment companies, features three battery packs competing side-by-side. Every detail is live-streamed, testing participants' expertise—from cells to packs and data streams to fault points.

1.3 200 Tough Questions on Maintenance Difficulties Session: Speed, Precision, and Volume 

Co-developed by CATARC and North International Group, this session selects 200 real-world NEV repair challenges frequently encountered by 30,000 repair shops, covering everything from the three-electric system to complete vehicle control. Each question stems from frontline repair dilemmas. In every round, 8 institutions compete, while audience members can also participate via QR code scanning. Correct answers earn exclusive competition gifts—a battle of experts with full audience interaction!
