1. Systematic Technology Layout Building an Innovative Wheel-End Ecosystem

Xianwei Transmission focuses on technological innovation in transmission systems, motion control systems, and dynamic analysis sensor systems for transportation vehicles, forming a complete technology layout. The company adopts a dual-technology-route strategy in the electronic mechanical braking field, launching multiple product generations that cover a full range of clamping forces from 3KN to 180KN.  The screw-type EMB features high-precision force control and rapid response, supports CAN bus communication, and multiple closed-loop control strategies, and has been widely applied in passenger cars, logistics vehicles, and two-wheelers.  The cam-type EMB, with its compact structure and cost advantages, shows excellent performance in high-torque commercial vehicles, with models such as C50 and C120 already included in national key R&D programs. For the commercial vehicle sector, Xianwei has also developed an S-type cam drum EMB system with integrated automatic clearance adjustment, significantly improving reliability and maintenance efficiency.

2. Innovative Technologies Driving Industry Transformation


In the field of independent wheel steering systems, Xianwei, building upon the long-term research achievements of Professor Chen Xinbo’s team, has launched multiple angle module products. The double-crank transmission steering system, based on patented mechanisms, achieves a ±90° steering angle and uses an innovative design where the motor is fixed to the chassis, effectively reducing unsprung mass. The push-rod steering module adopts a screw-parallel shaft structure, offering flexible solutions for vehicle design. The wheel-side electric drive angle module highly integrates driving and steering functions, creating new possibilities for intelligent chassis and special-purpose vehicles.


Xianwei has also developed a coaxial tubular energy-recovering suspension system, which innovatively combines a traditional damper with a motor-screw structure, enabling both adjustable suspension height and vibration energy recovery. This product is suitable for 600kg wheel-end loads and has already been applied in heavy-duty vehicles and wheel-leg robotic joint systems.  Through core components such as force-sensing bolts and angle sensors, Xianwei has built a comprehensive wheel-end force and torque sensing system.  By integrating multi-sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms, the system achieves high-precision estimation of six-dimensional force/torque at the wheel end, providing real-time data to support vehicle dynamics control.

3. Dual-Drive of R&D and Manufacturing


Xianwei has established an advanced R&D base in Pudong, Shanghai, equipped with a complete R&D toolchain.  In manufacturing, the company has built industrial chain advantages through diversified cooperation models: the Jiading, Shanghai trial factory is responsible for structural component prototyping and cam machining; the Changzhou plant for planetary roller screws has an annual capacity of 200,000 sets; and the Suzhou sensor factory is preparing to launch a production line with an annual output of 1 million units. This “R&D + Manufacturing” dual-drive model ensures that technological innovations are quickly transformed into product capabilities.
