Smart Cockpit Revolution: Three Key Transformations Reshape the Industry — Changan’s Exclusive Closed-Door Summit Unlocks Future Tech Dividends

Jul. 14, 2025

The battlefield of smart cockpits is buzzing with action!

Command-Free Revolution — The XPeng G7 Ultra, equipped with 800 TOPS of on-board computing power, achieves "intention prediction" and fundamentally redefines the human-vehicle relationship.

Global Certification — The Xingji Meizu ET has passed the China Automotive Technology and Research Center’s seven-language interaction test, earning the first-ever international interaction certificate for a Chinese cockpit.

Cost Breakthrough — Qualcomm’s integrated cockpit-driving solution has lowered the entry threshold for advanced intelligent driving to the 150,000 RMB level, while ThunderSoft has reduced the latency of on-device large models to the millisecond range.

This triangular contest of computing power, language, and cost is redrawing the industry's power dynamics.

Smart Cockpit Revolution: Three Key Transformations Reshape the Industry — Changan’s Exclusive Closed-Door Summit Unlocks Future Tech Dividends

1. Technological Revolution: Edge-Side Large Models Restructure Interaction Logic

XPeng G7 Ultra: Setting a New Benchmark for "Predictive Services"

As the world’s first L3-level AI vehicle, the XPeng G7 Ultra enters the market with a top configuration price of 225,800 RMB. Its core weapon is the dual-chip architecture (Qualcomm 8295P + self-developed Turing AI), delivering a total computing power of over 800 TOPS — 26 times that of the industry flagship. This system not only supports real-time child recognition via OMS cameras to adjust the cockpit environment, but also achieves “intention prediction” through localized VLA + VLM large models. For example, during driving, a sudden voice command like “stop by the supermarket on the way” can trigger instant route replanning. Meanwhile, the physical privacy cover design eliminates risks of data leakage.

Xingji Meizu ET: Breaking the Barriers of Global Interaction

The Xingji Meizu ET, a high-end model under Chery’s premium brand Exeed, has recently become the world’s first vehicle to pass the China Automotive Technology and Research Center’s seven-language interaction certification. This certification covers seven major languages, including English, German, and French. It simulates high-frequency scenarios such as navigation commands and entertainment control, while introducing complex conditions like background noise and regional accents. Powered by the iFLYTEK Spark large language model, the vehicle’s Lion AI voice assistant supports over 1,800 voice-controlled functions, enabling a “see it, say it; if it’s available, it’s controllable” experience. Its capabilities in Arabic dialect recognition and German concatenated command processing are particularly impressive.

Qualcomm’s Cockpit-Driving Integration: Lowering the Threshold for Intelligent Driving to the 150,000 RMB Level

At the Suzhou Smart Cockpit Summit, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8775 and 8797 chips drew significant attention. The Snapdragon 8797, as a single chip, can support both smart cockpit functions and L2+ level autonomous driving. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8775 integrates digital cockpit and ADAS functions within a single chip, reducing costs by 20% compared to traditional multi-chip solutions. ThunderSoft showcased its edge-side 14B large model, which has reduced latency to the millisecond level. Chelink’s domain control platform, based on the Snapdragon 8775, is scheduled for mass production in Q4 2025, marking the industry’s first large-scale application of a cross-domain centralized architecture.

2. Industry Under-the-Radar Battle: A Game Between Technical Paths and Ecosystem Sovereignty

In-House Innovators vs. Pragmatists: Diverging Technical Routes

In-House Innovators (XPeng / Chery): These automakers adopt a full-stack self-developed approach encompassing chips and algorithms. XPeng’s triple-chip architecture achieves a computing density of 4.2 TOPS/mm², while Chery integrates the LION AI large model with its EEA 5.0 architecture under the "Yaoguang 2025" strategy.

Pragmatists (Traditional OEMs): Relying on Tier 1 suppliers such as Qualcomm and ECARX, these automakers focus on cost-effective integration. ECARX’s cockpit-parking fusion solution helps reduce the cost of Geely models by 20%, while BAIC will be the first to launch Snapdragon 8775, enabling 8-screen interactive linkage.

Security and Cost: Privacy Protection Drives Up Vehicle Prices

Although local large models help address privacy concerns (e.g., cloud-free solutions like Unisound’s edge-side models), the required high-performance computing hardware significantly increases vehicle costs. Cockpit-driving integration also faces cross-domain security certification challenges. E-Tronic (Yitichi) shortens the integration cycle by 50% through its detachable middleware solution.

Ecosystem Competition: Automakers’ “Soul-Grabbing” in Progress

Huawei’s HarmonyOS cockpit has been integrated into over 13 million vehicles, while automakers are accelerating the development of their own systems, such as BAIC’s “Baimo Huichuang” platform. Zebra Intelligence’s end-to-end architecture reduces interaction latency to 0.3 seconds, but automakers remain concerned about losing control over their ecosystems. As one industry executive stated, “AI large models should serve as foundational capabilities, not just functional plugins.”

3. Exclusive Closed-Door Meetings on Smart Cockpits: Direct Access to Changan Automobile’s Precise Needs

Amidst the opportunities brought by technological breakthroughs and industry restructuring, on July 24th, Changan Automobile’s Global R&D Center (Chongqing) will hold an “Exclusive Closed-Door Smart Cockpit Meeting.” Focusing on forward-looking topics in smart cockpits, current core demands, and future strategic planning, this event offers supply chain enterprises exclusive one-on-one closed-door negotiation opportunities.

The “exclusive closed-door” sessions offer supply chain companies dedicated time slots to connect directly with Changan. Enterprises can bring their technical solutions to conduct one-on-one discussions on-site with key leaders from Changan’s R&D, design, and procurement departments. The four-step process includes on-site presentation → product demonstration → pain point Q&A → deep collaboration, providing opportunities to capture technology dividends and secure mass production cooperation.
