Beijing and Shanghai Auto Shows Resume Alternating Hosting

On September 7, the highly debated dispute over the scheduling of the “2027 Beijing Auto Show and Shanghai Auto Show” finally reached a resolution. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Automotive Industry Branch and the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade officially announced that both sides will continue to maintain the established pattern of hosting major comprehensive international auto shows, with Beijing hosting in even-numbered years and Shanghai in odd-numbered years. Meanwhile, the Beijing Auto Show, which had previously been scheduled for March 2027, will no longer be held as a comprehensive auto show and will instead be adjusted to a professional themed exhibition.
